Nahi is a food guide: snap a menu or your fridge and it suggests what to order or make for your goals. We collect only what we need to run it. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we never use your health answers for marketing.
Rendezvous Ventures, Inc. is the company responsible for your data. Contact us at hello@nahi.app.
What we collect
- Account email. Used to sign you in with a one-time code and to contact you about your account.
- Your setup answers. Your goals, whether you take a GLP-1 medication, sex, age, height, weight, how active you are, where you eat, who you cook for, food allergies and whether they are severe, foods that don't sit well, any health situations you choose to tell us about (such as kidney disease or pregnancy), how you like to eat, foods you avoid, and any daily numbers you set. They are used only to shape your picks. Some of this is health information; you can change or remove it any time in You.
- Your food history. When you tap "I'm having this" we keep the dish, the place, the estimated protein and calories, the day, and whether you later said you loved it or it didn't sit well. The guide uses this to remember what you like.
- A daily count of requests. Used to apply the daily limit. Erasing your history does not reset it.
- Membership. If you subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to confirm your membership; it receives an app user ID and your purchase history, never your card details.
Photos, questions and Google's Gemini
To make your picks, your photo of a menu or fridge, your question, the places you choose for Pulse, your setup answers and a summary of your recent food history are sent to Google's Gemini API. Photos are made smaller on your phone first. We do not keep your photos or questions after the reply is made.
Nahi uses Gemini as a paid service. Under Google's terms for paid use, Google doesn't use what we send to improve its products; it keeps it for a limited time only to detect misuse and meet legal requirements. Please don't photograph people or personal papers.
The guide asks for your permission before anything is sent to Gemini and records when you allowed it. You can turn it off any time in You with "Let the guide use Gemini". The guide then stops working and nothing more is sent.
Not medical advice
The guide gives general nutrition information. It is not a dietitian or a doctor, its numbers are estimates, and it never tells you a dish is safe for an allergy. Always check allergies with the staff.
Age
Nahi is for adults 18 and over. Setup does not accept a younger age.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to You, then Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account and the data linked to it. To erase only your food history, use Forget all of this in You.
If you used our earlier reading app, Aldus, your reading data stays with your account until you delete it.
On your iPhone
The camera opens only when you tap to snap a menu or your fridge. Setup answers wait on your phone until you create an account, then move to it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account we delete it, except anything the law requires us to keep.
Changes
We will tell you in the app when this policy changes.
